5K/8K Challenge – For runners who think they can complete 5K in under 25 minutes, enter the 8K Challenge. Run 5K race plus additional 3K for a total distance of 8K. Challengers compete in both 5K and 8K races. Two races in one! Requires pre-registration and $5 additional fee.*
*Challengers exceeding 25 minutes at the 5k mark will not be allowed to continue for the additional portion

|Costume Contest:||Top 3 children (0 to 11) and adults (11 and above). Judging for the costume contest will take place 45 minutes prior to the start of the race.|

Event proceeds will benefit two area non-profits focused on helping children. We will also be accepting in-kind dontations for both organizations (see appropriate items below). Anyone bringing donations will receive additional chances in the door prize raffle.
Crayons to Classrooms connects essential resources to teachers, enhancing learning for children in need. Its mission is to collect and distribute basic school supplies at no cost to teachers of children in need.
Donation Items: Crayons (24-count), Pens, Pencils, Glue Sticks, Filler Paper, Folders, Scissors, Rulers, Markers, Notebooks or Facial Tissues.
Kettering Backpack Program strives to discreetly provide nutritious, easy to prepare foods to students who might otherwise go hungry over the weekends.
Donation Items: Individual pop-top microwavable ravioli, Individual serving cup of fruit, Small prepared pudding, Small cup of vegetables, Individual Mac & Cheese, Cereal, 100% Fruit Juice Box, Granola/Cereal Bar, Applesauce or Jars of peanut butter.
